Tray Type Gas Absorbers for Acid Regeneration Plants
Description :
Acid is regenerated and recovered from the spent acid in steel pickling
plants. The spent acid containing chlorides of iron is oxidized in a
fluidized bed reactor to produce iron oxide and HCl vapours. Whereas iron
oxide is a useful bye-product, the HCl is absorbed in stoichiometric
quantities of water to obtain 17 to 20% hydrochloric acid and reused for
pickling. We design and manufacture special tray-type absorbers for the
purpose. Finally the gases are passed through columns to limit emissions
within pollution control limits.

Hydrochloric / Hydrobromic Acid Absorption With or Without Heat Exchanger
Description :
Absorption of HCl or HBr to produce concentrated acid is accompanied by
generation of large amount of heat. Heat exchangers with expensive materials
of construction are used to cool the acid. We have developed gas absorption
systems, which do not require heat exchangers. This results in saving in
capital costs.

Hypochloride Production Plants
Description :
Often sodium hypochlorite is produced in caustic chlorine plants by the
absorption of chlorine gas in sodium hydroxide. The reaction is exothermic
and wet chlorine is highly corrosive requiring coolers and special materials
of construction. We can manufacture and supply these plants on turn-key
basis.

Mixing / Reaction Vessels With Agitator Assembly
Description :
Vessels with agitation require special considerations in design. Agitation
produces dynamic loading. The rotating speed of the agitator and natural
frequency of the system as a whole have to be taken into account for the
design to avoid failures. We specialize in the design of agitated vessels.

Mixer / Settlers
Description :
Mixer-settlers are used for liquid-liquid solvent extraction for purposes
such as separation of nuclear chemicals and other metallurgical separations
. The mixers will have special type of variable speed agitators for transfer
of liquids.
